These Terms and Conditions apply specifically to couple, family, maternity, proposal, and solo traveller photography sessions offered by Barcelona Shoots. Please note that weddings and elopements are subject to separate agreements and policies, which will be provided at the time of booking those services.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) outline the agreement between you (“the Client”) and Barcelona Shoots (“the Photographer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding photography services. By booking a session with us, you agree to the following:

Booking & Payments

Your session is considered officially booked once payment has been made and you have received written confirmation from Barcelona Shoots. All payments must be completed prior to the scheduled session. We accept payments via credit card (we use Stripe) or PayPal.

Rescheduling or Cancelling

Shoots Changed and/or Cancelled By You

Please note that for events resulting in the inability to attend your scheduled shoot date, time, and/or route, such as a location or private property requiring a fee for a photographer to enter the property (in this case, our team and your photographer can make a recommendation for an alternate location for your shoot off property, however if you are unable to choose an alternate location, the above cancellation terms will apply), the location or private property not allowing a photographer to enter the property, inability to travel due to invalid travel documents, or transportation cancellations, are also considered shoots changed and cancelled by you and the following terms still apply.

a. Shoot reservations may be cancelled up to 15 days prior to the shoot date for a 90% refund; Barcelona Shoots retains 10% for processing and handling fee. 

b. Once your shoot date and time are confirmed (when the session is paid for and the Session Details are delivered), you may cancel up to 7 days before the scheduled session for a 50% refund. The remaining 50% will be retained to cover processing and administrative costs. If the Session Details have not yet been confirmed within 15 days, you may cancel your booking and receive a 90% refund.

c. Once your booking is confirmed, you may request to reschedule up to 7 days before the scheduled shoot. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but availability cannot be guaranteed. If rescheduling is not possible, you may either keep your original reservation or cancel under the terms outlined in sections (a) and (b) above.

d. Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled shoot are non-refundable, and all sales are considered final.

e. Our photographers are prepared to shoot in light rain or sunshine, and we’ll connect you directly with your photographer so you can discuss the weather before your session. While rescheduling is not always guaranteed, your photographer will do their best to find an alternative time if heavy rain makes shooting difficult. In the rare case that severe weather prevents the session from taking place and rescheduling isn’t possible, we will issue a full refund. Please note that weather-related refunds can only be confirmed within 24 hours of the scheduled shoot.

Sessions Changed and/or Cancelled by Barcelona Shoots

We always do our best to deliver the services exactly as described on our website. While it’s very rare that we need to make changes or cancel a confirmed booking, we reserve the right to do so if necessary. If your originally scheduled photographer is unable to attend, we will arrange a qualified replacement whenever possible. In the unlikely event that your booking must be cancelled, you will receive either a credit to use toward a future session or a full refund, at our discretion.

Session Guidelines

Clients are responsible for arriving on time at the agreed meeting point. Delays will reduce session time (please see the point below for more info). The Photographer will provide guidance during the shoot but cannot guarantee specific poses, locations, or weather conditions. In case of bad weather, the session may be rescheduled or adapted, depending on availability (e.g., indoor/covered locations).

Additional Time & Late Arrival Policy

a. Extending Your Session
If you’d like to continue beyond your scheduled session time and your photographer is available, additional time may be added at a rate of €150 per 30 minutes. For example, if your session is booked from 5:00–6:00pm and you decide to keep going, simply let your photographer know. By confirming with them, you agree to the extra fee, which will be invoiced after your session.

b. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, the missed time will be forfeited and your session will end at the originally scheduled time. The number of delivered photos may be adjusted to reflect the actual time spent shooting. If you wish to extend, you may request additional time if the photographer is available; the extension is charged at €150 per 30 minutes.

Example: If you book from 5:00–5:30pm but arrive at 5:15, you’ll have 15 minutes remaining. At 5:30, you may request to continue if the photographer is free, and the additional time will be billed as above.

c. No Shows
Failure to appear for your scheduled session is considered a “No Show” and no refund will be provided.

Group Size Policy

Capturing beautiful photos with larger groups takes more time, so we have set guidelines for session lengths:

  • 30 minutes: up to 6 people
  • 60 minutes: up to 10 people
  • 90 minutes: up to 15 people

If additional people attend the shoot beyond what was indicated on your booking form and the group size exceeds the package limit, each extra person will be charged €50. Please note that the session length and number of photos delivered will remain as originally booked.

Additional Fees

Clients are responsible for any extra costs associated with their chosen shoot location, such as transportation, entrance tickets, or permits required for private property. Please confirm these details directly with the venue in advance. If you’d like your photographer to join in on any activities as part of the session, you’ll also need to cover their related fees.

Image Delivery

  • You will receive a full gallery within 7 days after the session, unless a speed delivery was purchased.
  • Your photographer will carefully select the best images from your session, apply light editing, and deliver them in an online gallery based on the number of photos included in your chosen package. Light editing covers cropping and adjustments to color and exposure; it does not include Photoshop work or extensive retouching.
  • Your gallery will contain high-resolution JPG images (2200x3300px). To protect our photographers’ creative work, RAW files are not provided.
  • Each package includes a set number of fully edited images. Additional photos beyond what is included in your package are not available for purchase or release.
  • All photographs remain the copyright of your Barcelona Shoots’ assigned photographer.
  • The Client receives a personal license to download, print, and share the images for private, non-commercial use.
  • Images may not be sold, altered, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
  • The Photographer reserves the right to use selected images for portfolio, website, and social media promotion, unless the Client requests otherwise in writing before the session.

Liability

  • Barcelona Shoots is not responsible for any injury, loss, expenses, or damages that you or your family may incur in connection with the use of our website or services. This includes, without limitation, any actions or omissions by the photographer assigned to your session.
  • Barcelona Shoots, along with its contractors and employees, cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to image files that are created, stored, or downloaded, even in cases of negligence or other fault.
  • In the unlikely event of equipment failure or loss of images, liability is limited to a full refund of the session fee.

Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data provided by the Client will only be used to manage bookings and deliver services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Affiliate Disclosure

Barcelona Shoots may participate in affiliate marketing programs. This means that if you purchase products or services through certain links on our website or digital platforms, we may earn a small commission. Please note that this commission is paid by the partner brands and comes at no extra cost to you. Our recommendations are never influenced by these partnerships – we only share products and services we genuinely believe are valuable for our audience. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Barcelona.

By booking a session with Barcelona Shoots, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
